K6 Carbon prepares the detailed fuel information required for primary suppliers, including the types and quantities of gasoline, diesel and other applicable liquid fuels produced in Canada or imported into each province. Facility locations, import points, transportation methods and blend compositions are compiled where required. The service also covers fuels subtracted from the supplier’s pool, volumes subject to volumetric requirements and volumes subject to the reduction requirement. All relevant data are organized to support the calculation and presentation of the supplier’s total reduction requirement.
Compliance credits used to satisfy reduction and volumetric requirements are identified, categorized and reconciled by K6 Carbon. Reporting includes credits created through registered emission-reduction funding contributions, specific credit types used for gasoline or diesel replacement, and the associated fuel volumes and carbon-intensity information. Credit use is traced to the applicable supplier accounts to provide a clear record of how regulatory obligations are being met. Where reduction requirements were deferred from an earlier compliance period, the required credits and applicable credit categories are also documented.
K6 Carbon documents contributions made to registered emission-reduction funding programs, including the program name, contribution amount, credits created and supporting receipt. Low-carbon-intensity fuels produced or imported for credit creation and later exported or sold for export are also identified. The quantity and carbon intensity of each affected fuel are compiled, together with the number of credits that must be cancelled. The final reporting package specifies the accounts in which those credits are held and supports a complete reconciliation of the resulting compliance adjustments.
