K6 Carbon compiles the required applicant, authorized-agent and contact-person information for the application. Facility names, civic addresses and GPS coordinates are organized alongside the applicable production, charging or fuelling locations.
Each application is developed around the applicable fuel or material input, its calculated carbon intensity and the feedstock used in production. K6 Carbon also documents the feedstock’s extraction, harvesting or production region and prepares the required process-flow diagram.
Technical support includes documenting the thermal energy and electricity sources used at the production facility. Where applicable, K6 Carbon calculates and presents non-fossil energy contributions, electricity characteristics and transportation distances between feedstock sources, production facilities and end users.
K6 Carbon prepares the Fuel LCA Model pathway used to determine carbon intensity, including model inputs and results. Data sources, collection methods, calculations and supporting records are compiled into a compliant workbook for either a cradle-to-gate or cradle-to-grave assessment.
Applications involving fuelling stations, compression or liquefaction facilities, charging stations and electricity-production sites are prepared using the required location and operational information. The service covers fuel or electricity sources, applicable process diagrams, carbon-intensity values, pathway records and supporting calculations.
Where an approved carbon intensity is transferred from another registered creator, foreign supplier or carbon-intensity contributor, K6 Carbon prepares the associated documentation. This includes the provider’s information, the fuel, material input or energy source supplied, the approved carbon intensity and its assigned identifier.
